New features in BibExcel
Not a very good start for my blog, at least not a very fast one. Took several days to get this second post going, but I have a good excuse: I have been up north, in Oulu, teaching webometrics and bibliometrics. This was very interesting and very useful for me too. Besides the fact that I got to promote webometrics in Finland the day forced me to practice with BibExcel, the bibliometric tool-box created by Professor Olle Persson.
BibExcel comes now with a new exciting features: the possibility to export bibliometric data into Pajek. Before this, I had to manually edit the matrices I got from BibExcel to a form Pajek could read, so this new feature is really time saving and it also opens new possibilities for bibliometric research and analysis of large scale networks, wether they are based on bibliometric or webometric data.
